Cambridge exams

For graduate or post-graduate studies or for work abroad, you will need one of the internationally recognized certificates: Cambridge, TOEFL or IELTS.

Preparation for these exams at inlingua ® Galindo School will provide you with the following:

• development of all language skills (listening, reading, writing, speaking) in the proper exam format
• the lessons are exclusively in English with emphasis on conversation
• exercise on previous exams
• mock exams during the course, as a guideline for further work

What are Cambridge certificates?

Cambridge certificates are internationally recognized language certificates and a prerequisite for studying in the English language abroad or for employment with numerous international companies. 

The three highest levels of Cambridge certificates are the following:

FCE (First Certificate in English) – the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This is the level universities recognize for graduate studies, but it can also qualify you for employment in lower management positions.

CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) – the C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This certificate is required for MA or doctoral studies abroad as well as for communication in a business environment in a high management position.

CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) – the C2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This level is the proof of an exceptional knowledge of the English language, at a level close to the native speaker. It enables attending special academic studies, conducting research projects and communicating at the highest level in a business environment.

The duration of preparation for these exams depends on the student’s previous knowledge.

What is IELTS?

IELTS or the International English Language Testing System is the most popular test of the knowledge of English in the world. More than 10,000 academic, governmental institutions and leading global companies accept IELTS.
IELTS is the only test of the English language recognized by immigration services of all countries where English language knowledge is a condition for immigration.
Classes are individual; the price is €15 per lesson.

What is TOEFL?

TOEFL or Test of English as a Foreign Language is an exam which measures the level of knowledge of the English language of candidates who aren’t native English speakers.
TOEFL is a condition for enrolment at universities and for numerous scholarship programmes. All four language skills are tested: comprehension, reading, writing and speaking.
TOEFL can be neither passed nor failed; you score a certain number of points, and each university determines their own minimum score for enrolment.
